DANGAN RONPA SPOILERS AFTER CHAPTER 2
Lets talk about Genocider Syo.
In the game, Genocider Syo is a serial killer established in Chapter 1 as a possible contender for the game's mastermind. Syo is an unknown assailant who is known for targeting attractive looking men and killing them. Not only kill, but crucify their bodies with specially made scissors and write out on the wall behind them BLOODSTAIN FEVER. In short, it's a gruesome way to die. Syo has had many many victim by the start of the game and is rumored to be a high school student given the time of death for every victim is usually after 3pm but before 10pm, along with many victims being high school students themselves.
So who is Genocider Syo?
This is Genocider Syo.
Genocider Syo is in actuality the split personality of Touko Fukawa, as revealed in Chapter 2. Fukawa has Multiple Personalities Disorder, which she has suffered from for an unknown period of time. She is aware of Syo's existence and even goes as far as to distance herself from all other people, out of fear that they may learn of Syo's existence or even worse - fear that Syo may kill people. This doesn't really work out so well, as despite Fukawa's efforts Syo has killed many people. But she still tries.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT SYO:
-Syo and Fukawa don't share the same memories. They can do the same things (like if Fukawa knows how to cook, Syo can cook just as well as her) but they have two separate memories. Fukawa never recalls anything that happens when Syo is out and Syo never recalls anything that happens when Fukawa is out.
-Syo is very volatile and the exact opposite of Fukawa. Whereas Fukawa is reserved and quietly seethes to herself, Syo is loud and obnoxious and has no regard for lives that aren't her own.
-Syo and Fukawa are generally attracted to the same type of people. They have different viewpoints on that person (like Fukawa will obediently obey Togami, while Syo humors him and thinks herself the dominant in their "relationship") but overall if Fukawa likes a boy then Syo will usually latch onto him as well.
-That's another thing: Syo only kill men that turn her on. What her turnons are vary. She sees Togami as attractive both physically and personality wise. He's strong, confident and has a great deal of superiority about himself that Syo is wild about. Syo also mentioned being turned on by Chihiro, a boy who crossdresses. Suffice to say it's either physical attractiveness, strong personalities or kinky taboo things that make turn on her (and Fukawa to some degree as well).
So why am I making this tiny info post? Well simply put, think of it as a warning post. Syo is VERY obnoxious and very hostile. She doesn't care people think of her and is willing to cut down people who piss her off.
I'm sure the question that immediately springs to mind is "will she kill anyone in Hunter's Game?". The answer is maybe. If Fukawa (and Syo by extension) is a Hunter, then yes. Outside of that role? No. She has no weapons due to the scissors not coming with her and so has little means of doing anything harmful. But that won't stop her from threatening people. She has no super natural strength, but is likely somewhat stronger than she may at first appear.
